Colin Merrin: Exploring the Human Form and Beyond

Introducing Colin Merrin, our next guest artist in our monthly guest artist programme.

Originally from East London, Colin has been living and working on the south coast of England since 2007. With a background in art education and a passion for working with young people facing difficulties, he has maintained his status as a working artist throughout his career. His artistic journey has been marked by numerous solo and group exhibitions across the UK and Europe, with his work featured in esteemed collections like the royal collection and the British Museum.

Emphasizing abstracted figurations and the human form in his recent work, Colin’s paintings blend memory, intuition, and trial-and-error techniques.

Meet Colin Merrin, in the Round Tower on 20 August between 11 AM and 4 PM for our monthly Open Studios event. This is a wonderful opportunity to witness his captivating abstracted figurations, explore his artwork and have discussions in our historic building.
