Interactive Weaves: Moon Weave
July 18 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
Join Alice Hume for the fifth part of the project Interactive Weaves. The Moon Weave will used mixed materials to create a moon-themed installation. Collaborative artists include jeweller Laura Bennett and ceramicist Annie Flitcroft. Participants of all abilities and ages are encouraged to take part for this free, drop-in, collaborative craft session. All materials to be provided.
Interactive Weaves is a free, collaborative art project lead by artist Alice Hume. The project draws together local creatives, and offers the public to get involved free of charge. Individual weaves will adopt their own unique theme, including textiles, paper, and plastic. The end of the project will be marked with an exhibition of all works on display in the Round Tower. Originally planned to take place over Summer 2020, the decision to postpone has been made to ensure maximum participation from the public and artists alike.
This project has been made possible by the Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants. Follow @Vanderhume on Instagram/Hume Looms on Facebook, and Hotwalls Studios for regular updates.
