Kim Edith – 6 Week Make Your Own Stitchbook Course

April 16, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

stitchbook course

A perfect introduction to Stitchbooking.

This is a structured course designed to give you all of the tools and advice you need to make your own Stitchbook – a textile memory book featuring your photos printed onto fabric.

On this 6 week course you will be guided through each stage of the making process, with each week focusing on a different technique, from planning your Stitchbook to completing it.  If you want some guidance and encouragement to start Stitchbooking this is the perfect course for you.

Each 2 hour session will include of a 30 minute demonstration of a new technique, which you will then apply to your own project. This includes how to print photographs onto fabric, make a range of text for your pages and construct the pages and bind the book.  You will end up with a unique, hand made Stitchbook which will be a memorable keepsake or special gift. The finished book will be 13 x 15cm and have 10 pages.

The fabric and components for the construction of the book will be provided in a free Stitchbook Starter Kit, and you will be able to use my wide range of embellishments, stampers and equipment. However you will likely want to provide some of your own embellishments and fabrics. (Choosing and collecting these is after all most of the fun!)

You need to have a basic level of sewing knowledge to complete this course and have access to basic sewing supplies at home (not necessarily a sewing machine). Minimum age is 14.

There is only 5 places available on the course to ensure you have dedicated advice and support throughout your project. Kim is a trained textiles teacher with 5 years experience of teaching the subject in schools, so you are in safe hands! She have discovered lots of clever tricks and techniques over the years to help you with any problems you may have, and Kim will bring along the many Stitchbooks she has made over the past 8 years.

The workshop is at Kim’s studio: Number 6, Hotwalls. There are several parking options such as the Land Rover BAR car park and some on street parking and shall will provide tea and coffee.

To book your place  you can either visit Kims website or send an email to

Cancellations may be made up to 2 weeks in advance for a full refund.
