Plant a Tree and Clean the Sea: An Exhibition

January 3, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - January 31, 2020 @ 6:00 pm

Dave Allen with paintings

Celebrate the new year with Dave Allen, of Fire Monkey Arts Collective. The event includes an exhibition of Dave’s paintings, followed by a charity art sale.

Art Sale
Each painting is offered at a minimum donation of £10. All are acrylic on canvas and vary in sizes. Proceeds will be split between Permaculture magazine, and the Wilder Portsmouth project, organised by the Hampshire & IOW Wildlife Trust.

The show opens at Studio One at midday on Friday 3 January, and will continue to be shown throughout the month. Dave can be found painting in the Studio on Fridays, although it’s open most days.

About Dave Allen
Dave says: “For some years, my work has been broadly around the theme of ‘Rising Tides’. Since I joined the Fire Monkeys in 2017, I have produced many paintings and wishing to move them on, I felt that a show like this might help to sponsor and publicise positive local green initiatives”. Dave’s work is inspired by the abstract visual culture of the 1960’s and a lifetime of living near the sea in Portsmouth.

The event will continue throughout January.
