We’re pleased to say that some of our artists are taking first steps to re-open to the public on Monday 15th June. We’ve been working hard to ensure additional safety measures are ready to implement for the protection of artists and visitors alike. These include the following:
-Anti-bacterial hand gel provided for artists and visitor use.
-The numbers of people allowed in a studio at once will be limited to allow for social distancing. As the studios vary in size, this will differ between studios. Please refer to individual signs at studio entrances.
-Additional cleaning procedures.
-Some artists may ask customers to place items in bags themselves in order to minimise contact.
-New layouts of some studios that puts more distance between the artist’s workspace and the entrance.
-Customers will be encouraged to make contactless payments.
Due to personal circumstances, some artists will be unable to open to the public for the time being, but may still be working from their studio. In this is the case, internal doors may be locked and signs in the entrance will notify visitors.
We’re continually risk assessing the studios and surrounding area, and will respond promptly to any changes in government guidelines. We have suspended all events over the summer, and look forward to resuming our creative events programme once it’s safe to do so. We thank everyone who has supported our studio artists during lock-down, through following on social media or making online purchases. We’re delighted to be welcoming even small numbers of visitors again. For news and updates, stay tuned online and via social media.
