Meet Libbie Coulson, the Artist and Designer behind the colourful world of 26th of May. With a passion for creating unique and expressive jewellery & accessories, Libbie’s artistic journey is a blend of creativity, innovation and a deep connection with colour.
After graduating with a Fine Art degree from UCA in 2008, Libbie embarked upon a successful career in Web Design for over ten years, before the pandemic happily forced a pause and a creative reset. Picking up some polymer clay reminded her of how much she loved making things with her hands, and combined with her love of colour and the endless potential of polymer clay, a real passion was born.
She is asked often about the name, 26th of May – it is a tribute to her late mother, whose birthday it was. She was Libbie’s biggest cheerleader, and loved having a creative daughter.
Libbie hopes to expand her range from just polymer clay jewellery & accessories to include fine art prints, cards and more in the coming months, and her time at Hotwalls will no doubt be a constant source of inspiration to encourage this.
