Hannah Matthews graduated in 2012 with a BA in Fine Art. Initially pursuing a pathway in painting, her practice evolved into an interdisciplinary way of working and after graduating she began directing her attention toward the medium of taxidermy. Combining traditional techniques with contemporary vision, her works are characterised by a sense of naturalistic wonder and playful subversion.
Hannah also often produces pieces for the film, TV and fashion industries and creates interior artworks with antique specialist James Gooch (Doe & Hope). All specimens used are ethically sourced and Hannah is a long term member of The Guild of Taxidermists.
