The Pause, Reflect, Create exhibition marks the end of a year-long project for the artists at the Hotwalls Studios.
Living life through a pandemic, the artists used this new lifestyle as inspiration to capture the visual response. They reflected on their own personal experiences of Covid-19 to help create their original artwork which will be showcased at the exhibition before moving to Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery to help shape the new Covid Collection.
The exhibition will present a variety of artistic practices, such as painting and textiles, to printing and jewellery making. However, all artwork will be united in the inspiration and story behind their creativity.
We hope these artworks can be received as modern history paintings, and will offer an insight to life throughout a pandemic to future generations.
