Sculpting Stories of Satire and Social Reflection: Milly Aburrow is March’s guest artist

Step into the imaginative realm of Milly Aburrow, our latest spotlight in our 2024 guest artist line-up. Milly brings a fresh perspective to the art world. She recently graduated with a BA in Fine Art (Hons) from Bath Spa University.


Aburrow’s art serves as a mirror to our daily lives, inviting viewers to ponder the deeper meanings behind our everyday experiences. Through her mixed media sculptures and installations, she skilfully weaves together elements of humour and social commentary, challenging us to reconsider our relationship with material possessions and the food on our plates.

Recent achievements include the ‘Kenneth Armitage Young Sculpture Prize 2023’ for her installation ‘Fill Me In’ Sandwich Counter, celebrated for its wit and reflections on modern society. Drawing inspiration from the quirks and contradictions of modern living, Aburrow’s work ignites conversations and sparks contemplation.
