The Hotwalls Studios showcases some of the city’s brightest creative talent. With a range of artists and designer-makers working in our studios, you will be able to watch artists and makers at work and purchase and commission professional pieces. Impressive location
The studios are located in the impressive Point Battery & Barracks, a unique heritage site of national importance. Enjoy the rich history of the creative quarter and its surrounds including the Hotwalls beach, Camber docks, traditional cobbled streets and views across the Solent and entrance to Portsmouth Harbour. Land Rover BAR (the British America’s Cup team headquarters) is just around the corner, and Gunwharf Quays is a short walk away.
The Canteen
The Canteen is a warm and vibrant foodie haven, at the heart of the community of Old Portsmouth. Focusing on seasonal and local produce, and providing a daily food offering. The Canteen’s outdoor terrace has stunning waterfront views.

Getting there
The Hotwalls Studios is at the western end of the city’s four mile stretch of seafront in Old Portsmouth.
Walking
It’s a popular destination for residents and visitors enjoying a leisurely walk- just follow the Millennium Walkway heading west from Clarence Pier.
Cycling
Portsmouth is great for cycling – flat, compact and with great scenic rides along the coast. There is plenty of cycle parking available on site at the Hotwalls Studios.
Public Transport
The Hotwalls Studios is easily reached by public transport: The Hard Interchange is a short walk away and offers bus, rail and coach links and a connection to the city’s Park & Ride.
Car
There are a number of public car parks within walking distance of the Hotwalls Studios and a small number of metred spaces immediately outside on Broad Street.
