Jewel Beetle Preservation Workshop

With brightly shimmering irredecent wings Jewel Beetles have been celebrated by many cultures around the world for centuries. They can be seen in the adornment of clothing, jewellery and accessories, visual artworks and sculpture. Join Hannah in her Hotwalls studio for a hands-on experience in preserving these magnificent creatures. During this event you will be guided step by step in the pinning process, learning about the tools needed and techniques to using them. No previous knowledge is required for this class and you will leave with your own three ethically sourced jewel beetle specimens, entomology pins and pinning board.
